Show HN: Bluesky has no built-in analytics so I created them

Hey HN, my name is Danilo Fiumi and I'm building small startups, pretty much weekly.

While creating a startup nowadays can be very simple, creating an audience turns out to be extremely complex.

Sometimes the problem isn’t even the quality of your content. But for sure the lack of consistency weighs a lot.

So, few weeks ago I was messing around on Bluesky and I was really frustrated that it didn't have built-in analytics to track my growth. I had to equip myself.

So, I built something simple, designed to scratch my own itch and keep myself consistent along the way. I hope it can help some of you as well!

Would love to hear your feedback.

What are you equating "analytics" to here? Consistency or whatever growth thing you're talking about seems like isn't really a thing on Bluesky since it's less algorithm based. And isn't really a stat... more of a marketing strategy.

Analytics means like views and reach to me as with other platforms. Are you able to track that somehow? I'm guessing....no? So followers is the only metric?

You are right, we cannot directly know views or engagement from the APIs, at same time, I think consistency can be an equally valid metric of analysis. I want to know how many posts and how many reply I published per day and whether I did it sufficiently consecutively. This tells me whether I am maximizing the chances of visiblity according to the goal I have given myself.

In addition to Followers there are also metrics on Likes, Replies, Reposts and Quotes that can still give you a good proxy of the engagement you are receiving.
